About

The Trafalgar Rowing Centre is a community facility administered by Trafalgar 2001 Trust Limited to whom the London Borough of Greenwich has granted long leases of the Centre premises.  The Trust is a not for profit organisation and registered charity whose primary charitable object is the ‘organisation and provision of facilities…for water related and other recreation…for the public benefit in the interests of social welfare and with the object of improving the condition of life of persons who by reason of their youth and/or social and/or economic circumstances have need of such facilities.’
The Centre is presently open for use to members of the two Member Rowing Clubs – Globe RC and Curlew RC – who offer rowing to beginners and visitors.  The Centre is also open for use by local schools and community groups by arrangement.

There are two Rowing Club Members of the Trafalgar Centre:

Globe Rowing Club – Globe is a small friendly club that rows from the Trafalgar Centre on the River Thames.  Globe welcomes people of all ages and abilities, beginners and experienced rowers, juniors and veterans, for compettitive and recreational rowing and sculling.  For more information about the club visit their web site at www.globerowingclub.co.uk

Curlew Rowing Club – Curlew row from the London Regatta Centre close to the Excel Centre and City Airport; the club also makes use of the Trafalagr Rowing Centre indoor rowing gym on Tuesday and Thursday evenings.  Curlew has a strong competitive tradition in eights and fours and has a large number of training crews.  For more information about the club visit their web site at www.curlewrowingclub.co.uk
