The Trafalgar Rowing Centre is a community facility which is run and managed by Trafalgar 2001 Trust Limited. The Trafalgar Trust, as it is more commonly known, is a not for profit organisation and a registered charity. The Trust’s primary charitable objective is to organise and provide facilities for water-based, and other, recreational activities, for the benefit of the public and in the interests of social welfare.
Owing to it’s charitable objective, the London Borough of Greenwich Council has granted long lease of the Centre premises, to it’s Member clubs; Curlew and Globe Rowing Clubs and, by arrangement, local schools and community groups.
Members: Curlew and Globe Rowing Clubs share the Trafalgar Centre, clubhouse and gym facilities, and run many joint social events, however the two clubs train and compete independently.
